[Nottingham] Install problems on new Netbook - Aspire One D255

Thanks, Simon - see separate emails!

On the underlying issue; if a USB install can't continue following the USB
Mass Storage driver coming in, is it likely that there's soem weird piece of
hardware involved here?  It's just a bit odd that Damn Small Linux (based on
a much older kernel) copes if Ubuntu Natty doesn't....
