[Nottingham] Parcelforce

Well, I got a reply. They have suggested that I downgrade to FF3.6 as
they do not support FF5 on any operating system. They seriously expect
people to downgrade their systems just to use their site? Someone call
Steve Jobs! Cancel the iPad2 as Parcelforce have not certified it!
Tell HTC to scrap all future production until they are Parcelforce verified!

Attached (hope it comes through) is the cheery little message one gets
if one dares to use anything that is not full-fat Windows or a
Parcelforce approved browser.

I know that there are many browsers out there and I know perfectly well
that they can have quirks/incompatibilities and I understand that they
cannot test on every OS/browser combination (I certainly can't). I
normally know the browser I need to support (mostly do Intranet stuff);
I develop in FF and then test in the target browser (usually IE6). If I
have time, I'll test on Opera and Safari too (not w3m or Lynx, sorry).
I would never, ever go back to the bad-old days of "Best viewed with..."
like Parcelforce are doing, and certainly not for a site that is
public-facing. Being openly hostile to approx 25% of potential clients
is just bloody stupid.

I hardly know where to begin with this, their gall is staggering. Or
maybe I just need to take a chill-pill...
