Yeah - I've seen some "odd" pricing at times too.  Novatech and PCSpecialist
both let you select "No OS" on most systems (saving around £80, which is
nice).  System76 are not cheap, I grant you, but they get good reviews for
the quality of their kit.  You get what you pay for I guess and it is really
hard to judge from pictures on t'web.
