[Nottingham] Password locked Word files

This morning I decided to lodge a complaint with the ICO over some spam
a certain company keeps sending me despite repeated requests to get removed.

The process is simple enough.  Download the form, fill it out, return.
One problem.
The form is a Word .doc and password locked.  WTF?

LibreOffice opens the file OK, but obviously I can't fill it in.  Are
there any cunning ruses to by-pass the password?

And a complaint has been fired off the the ICO.
