This many of us did - in the early 60's and 70's before mobile phones the internet. We then
had the art of communication and people spoke with an easy freedom. When I came back from
Cyprus looking to join a "community" of liked-minded individuals - it was all about money.
Money helps. I think that dropping off the planet's a good idea. The "internet" has created
communities - of common shared interests and ideas which unite people across continents -
which are mere road bumps on the super highway.

I have met people who having sailed around the world for more than thirty years have lost
all sense of national identity - their passports have run out - the social security. People
drop out -  or off the known universe - I became a Buddhist monk for four years - it was a
little strange returning to this world. If you do it - do it with purpose.
