So junk because:

1.   You have to use a command line first to enable root login at startup
- something which most users will never want, and those who do want it are
capable of doing very easily and quickly
2.  It just might (although you haven't actually checked) have a problem
you have come across somewhere.

This is rather like refusing to consider buying a car because it want you
to put a code in the radio the first time you use it, and (whilst you
haven't actually bothered to look), the catch on the glovebox might be a
bit sticky.
