[Nottingham] Howto Apache2 https + gpg for multiple sites?

Folks,

Anyone out there have or have a pointer to a good Howto for to:


Set up Apache2 + Wordpress to use https where Apache serves multiple
sites from the same one vhost, and /also/ has other sites on other vhosts;

Somehow sign that (via a DNS entry?) with gpg to ensure there can be no
man-in-the-middle attacks and to give some reassurance that those sites
really are administered by me!

(Also to avoid having to use any of the dubiously 'trusted' certificate
'authorities'.)


Can that be done?

How involved??
