[Nottingham] Printer weirdness

Thanks for these suggestions. Away for work for the. Next month so unable to do anymore with the box but then I won't need the printer either.
It seems that my box must have seen my partners laptop as a print server and added her printers into my list of printers somehow. Does that seem reasonable?

Some zeroconf magic?
I *have* had some funnies when I have updated HPLIP and it's got in a
strop, leading to me having the same printer appearing multiple times;
not sure if it had multiple CUPS entries too.

As a fellow user of a networked HP on KDE, I took a gander at my own system.
Both HPLIP, KDE and CUPS seem to agree on what is connected; although
not necessarily the features.
I use the HPLIP version downloaded from HP (3.14.6), rather than from
the repo.

Anyway, I'd try removing the Xerox and HP from CUPS/KDE and then adding
the HP back in via HPLIP.
See if that clears it.
I would configure via HPLIP as well, I noticed that my KDE setting
disagree with HPLIP (e.g. duplexer) and offers much less control.
