[Nottingham] [Maillist] 'Munging' the "From" mail headers on this list?

Yep, I'm using Thunderbird and I get the options to:
Reply (Goes to BOTH the sender AND to the maillist)
Reply List (Replies to the maillist only)
Reply All (Same as just the Reply for this case)

Indeed, on the maillist, you have entered only "Jason".
In the mail headers, I see:
From: Jason Irwin via Nottingham <...>
Reply-To: Jason Irwin <...>, Notts GNU/Linux Users Group <...>
And from a direct email from you from gmail I see:
From: Jason Irwin <...>
Hence...
The maillist must have some intelligence to pull your name from whatever
you have set on the client/system you use to /send/ your email.
That seems to make the name you set on the maillist to be only of use to
ourselves to help identify whatever weird email address people subscribe
with...
