[Nottingham] Miss netbooks? Think they were maybe too bulky?

Strangely enough... As seen at the meetings, I'm still using a decades
old Acer Aspire One netbook from the first days of the various Linux
netbooks that did very successfully smash into a new Market niche.

Until that is... Microsoft noticed and then 'persuaded' the
manufacturers to double the spec and halve the battery life for the sake
of pushing Windows at above twice the original pricing...

More recently, we have the Chromebooks that only just now compare
favourably...


And then there are the "RaspberryPi" netbooks/laptops that keep popping
up ;-)


The GPD is interesting for portability but for myself, I'll be watching
this one from the sidelines...


BTW: Usual Angel NLUG meeting *Tomorrow* !
