[Nottingham] Server mysteriously went off-line

Last night my KVM host went off-line. Idiots lights still blinking away
(NIC, disc access etc) but zero network (no ping etc). Since I have no
"ILO" on this box, the only option was a hard reset. Urgh.

syslog and dmesg contain basically nothing, where else should I look?
Is there other logging I should maybe enable in case it happens again?

This is on Ubuntu 16.04.
