Lost in a lab in some forever lunchtime of the geeks some three decades ago:


On this day in 1990, the world's first website and server went live at 
CERN. The first website began as a simple page of links that allowed a 
group of scientists to share data in the confines of their laboratories. 
And as you know, since then the Web has become an inextricable part of 
the lives of billions of people!
