Recently I have been starting reading "A Practical Introduction to Data
Structures and Algorithm Analysis". This is a text book that I bought at
university, attempted to read, managed about 10 pages then put it away
because it was boring me to death.

Being a more experienced and mature programmer I thought it was about time
I brushed up on my programming fundamentals and give the book another try. I
have managed to read around 100 pages of the book so far and am finding it
quite interesting.

I have come to the conclusion that either:

  A. being older and wiser I can now appreciate the book more

  or

  B. I'm a lot more boring than I used to be.

Either way I have decided that I am going to read more "tech" books, can
any of you guys suggest some that I might enjoy?

I feel I should probably read at least one on databases as I missed most
database lectures at uni as they clashed with Tai Chi.

On the subject of general security I remember "Secrets and Lies: Digital
Security in a Networked World" by Bruce Schneier being quite entertaining so
will recommend this.

  Pete,
try reading the book on 'BIND' which is the DNS Bible - bet you can't get
to page 100 in that one! :-)
