Yeah it's already two months behind project, now set to open February
2007!

Anyway, after thinking (and somewhat regretting getting involved in
making the decision for the pub) I *think* (and hope) the best pub out
of all of them is Meadow Farm.

Meadow Farm / Milestone Restaurant
Dagnell End Lane,
Redditch.
Worcestershire.
B98 9BJ.

Been there a few times, serves nice food - and I'm sure they do offers
on the food in the week actually, but I can't seem to find a website or
anything for them. U=I'm assured its usually reasonably quiet atmosphere
in the week, but can be very busy at the weekend due to popularity of
food. I believe there is music played, but it is quite quiet in the
background as it's a restaurant/pub type thing.

Driving directions:

========

Leave the M42 at junction 2 (signposted Birmingham South & Hopwood Park
Services), then at roundabout take the exit onto the A441 (signposted
Redditch).

Head down the A441, until you see a Citreon Garage/Total Petrol Station
on the right (should only be 5 mins down the A441). Immediately after at
the traffic lights, turn *left* into Dagnell End Lane, then right into
Meadow Farm straight after. Simple!

Probably best to use routes/directions services online.

Coming from the opposite side of Redditch, you want to follow all
highways (bless the plethora of Redditch highways...!) and signs to
Redditch Town Centre. Head onto the Redditch ring road (not really sign
posted as a ring road, however - just 'town centre' still), past all the
multi-storey car parks. Keep following it all the way round, and towards
the end of the ring road you'll see signs for Birmingham/A441. Take the
little filter slip-road off to the left before the ring road traffic
lights, and you'll see a Ford dealership/Royal Mail Sorting
Office/Sainsbury's on the left. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit
(signposted Birmingham/A441). You'll pass The Abbey Stadium Leisure
Centre on the right, and big car boot fields on the left. At the traffic
lights, turn right into Dagnell End Lane then right into Meadow Farm.

Not fantastic for public transport either - however its only 5-8 mins
away from the town centre/train station by car. Not really walking
distance from the train station - about 25-30 mins walking! Public
transport is diabolical in Redditch at the best of times anyway, so it's
going to be difficult to find anywhere better!

<shy> I suppose this means I have to attend now too! </shy>
