Software and Systems Developer: Online Learning 

£26,666 - £31,840 according to qualifications and experience 

Permanent Position

 

The University of Bath is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic individual to join a small, dedicated e-learning team to support the implementation of key aspects of the University's Learning and Teaching Strategy, related to the use of learning technologies and flexible modes of learning.

 

You should be familiar with the higher education context, be aware of current internet developments and technologies, and possess a broad knowledge of open source development tools and environments.  Expertise in PHP scripting language is essential.

 

You will play a role in supporting institutional learning environments such as Moodle, and will be expected to support the team's small demonstration lab and server room (Windows XP and Linux).  You should be prepared to make presentations on tools and environments either developed by the team or elsewhere.

 

You should be an analytical, but creative person, who is able to develop high quality innovative learning resources and who is prepared to share knowledge and ideas.  The appointment is a permanent position.
