paraphrasing in the meantime:
The comments page of the magazine has recently had a lot of 'discussion'  
about acronyms and abbreviations.
Phil (Industry Veteran no less): "I actually invented 'LRF' (little rubber  
feet) as part of a sales campaign Infolink was running in the 1990s along  
the lines of all our systems come with LRF as standard".
[...stuff about it being thought to stand for something  
Radiation-related...]
"No customers ever admitted they didn't know what it stood for".
etc.
