As I remember one of my university lecturers saying, you can only prove a
piece of software has bugs, not that it is bug-free. In this case all we can
prove is that some spam messages went through to the spam queue, not that
the list itself was operating normally.

To me, the lack of posts from the 6th-17th does seem unusual and there might
be an explanation for Dave's missing messages. When a computer suffers from
a coincidence I'd usually bet my Mac on something being wrong somewhere...
