It is a pity that software that has billions of $'s pumped into it is seen as 
the best when in fact it is often the worst. MySQL is probably the worst 
option for a corporate database yet it survives despite the fact that it is 
simply not stable enough for heavy use.

They have been buying in people to fix the gaps in it, such as Jim Starkey 
moving from Interbase/Firebird, and not yet solving the underlying problems. 
So perhaps this is good news :) Who is taking bets on when MySQL starts 
loosing market share?
