Hi,
I'm still waiting for an official abstract from Darren, however, our
next meeting will be on at 19:30 on 11th March 2008. Venue wise, we'll
be in the middle-ish of Birmingham at PSL's office.
Topics: Symfony, Conferences, Pub visit
Time: 19:30
Location: PSL Connect, Harborne, B17 0ED
(see http://www.pslconnect.com/home/contact/)
Schedule:
19:30-19:45 - Reuben sells PSL connect to us
19:45-20:30 - Darren convinces us that Symfony is the best framework
~ and we ask questions
20:30-> - Move to $pub, probably discuss whether we should host a
~ conference etc.
To quote Darren :
"I'll be doing a 30ish minute chat introducing Symfony and saying why it
works for me
The talk will be structured thus:
* Why bother with a framework, surely they are all bloated and slow
* Intro to Symfony
* Symfony's MVC implementation
* Dissecting a simple application
* Areas for improvement
...and then Q&A"
thanks
David.
