Thanks for all your comments guys.  I stumbled across Campaign Monitor  
6 months or so ago, but never really picked up on it's popularity.

There certainly seems to be a lot of different solutions in this area  
- the problem I've had is separating the wheat from the chaff, and  
there's nothing like good recommendations to act as a guide.
