Soft delete (I've also heard it called logical delete) is essentially
just adding a deleted field instead of actually deleting rows.
Doctrine's implementation stores this as a timestamp and works
seamlessly with normal deletes and selects so that you don't have to
do any funny stuff to make sure you don't get any soft-deleted rows in
your results. It's cool but perhaps too tempting to just enable
everywhere and fill your database up.

Yeah great idea, me Oli and Martin (who joined us 6 months or so ago)
went to the previous meet and it was really good. Shame we had to head
back early really. I'll let you know next time we're planning to go.
