Hi Mo,

You will definately need PHP, CSS and the rest of it, regardless of
how well Wordpress works you still need to understand PHP to fix
problems etc..

Personally i'd recommend learning a framework such as Codeigniter or
CakePHP they are very powerful and will improve your overall
development skills.
