Netbeans 7 is out.
Now you can have the latest version of the red line.

is about? How can I get rid of it?

If you mean a vertical line, it's the print margin. I think under Editor
options in preferences you can turn it off.

You don't want to keep your code to a nice readable length then? :-p

Nah, can't find it. Looked in Tools > Options nothing there unless I missed it
