Subject: Would PHP NW like to be a community partner for the PHP UK Conference?
Good day,
I'm writing to as part of the organising committee for the PHP UK Conference,
which is being held later this month, on February 25th.
I found your email address listed as the co-ordinator of PHP West Midlands.
We are keen to involve the wider UK PHP community in the conference, and so we
would like to invite your user group to become a "Community Partner".
This does not mean that you need to spend any money. Being a Community Partner
simply means an exchange of publicity -- we give your user group an entry in
our partners list and a small table in the exhibition floor, and in exchange
you would advertise the conference to your members.
Our hope in doing this is to help grow the various PHP user groups around the
country.
The conference is very close now, and I appreciate that we're only contacting
you about this at the last minute, so if you would like to accept this offer
please let us know as soon as possible.
If you do become a Community Partner, we would need you to provide us with:
* The exact name of your user group, as you want it to be printed.
* Your logo, to go on our site.
* A hi-res colour version to be printed in the conference programme booklet
* A hi-res monochrome version to be printed on the delegate bags.
* Your web site URL.
* A couple of paragraphs of information about your user group.
The printed materials for the conference are subject to a deadline, so we
would need those items as soon as possible.
For our part, we would give you a URL where your members can buy discounted
tickets to the conference, and a small table in the conference exhibition
floor on the day if you wanted it, along with two exhibitor passes.
You can find out more about our partnership and sponsorship packages from our
website: http://www.phpconference.co.uk/sponsorship
Finally, if you run any events similar to our conference, we would like to
offer you a ticket swap: Two tickets from your event, which we would offer as
a prize in a draw during the conference, in exchange for us giving you two
tickets to the conference (either this year's or next) to be similarly given
away at your event.
Kind regards,
Simon Champion
