[Phpwm] Which browser version?

Out of interest, what sort of specific issues do people have with
these fabled internal IE6 only sites?
Is it mainly layout (which in theory could be "reie6d" with
javascript. Kind of the opposite of javascript libraries which take
modern code and make them work in IE6) or are there specific
technologies that are no longer supported?

As far as testing goes, I now develop in Chrome mainly (which seems to
cover the webkit style browsers) then take it to IE8 regularly and use
the compatability modes. Once nearing completion it will then be a
case of firing up the IE6 virtual machine (Now using winxp mode in
windows 7) and making any final tweaks. I don't spend as long as I
used to getting IE6 to play ball, but I think the key when making
decisions on where to apportion time on a project is to know your
audience and be guided by the analytics for that particular site. If
there are a significant number of users on IE6, obviously you need to
spend more time ensuring the experience is on a par with that of users
with newer browsers.

Unfortunately It's very rare that one rule fits all in this industry!
