Our next meeting is on Tuesday July 10th - Jason Alexander has volunteered to provide an introduction to the OWASP project.

Details / Abstract: 

An introduction to OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) which is a global charitable organisation dedicated to highlighting web application security. It will also cover an introduction to what OWASP are as well as whom OWASP are. It will then provide a brief introduction to the core projects at OWASP including the OWASP top 10, OWASP developer guide, OWASP ASVS and then some that are more specific to what OWASP class as builders (devs) and hopefully some pointers to specific PHP projects such as ESAPI.

About the speaker: Jason is a Security Architect working for KPMG in the Information Protection team. He has over 12 years experience in Information security across many sectors and different vocations within the industry. He has been invloved with OWASP for over 4 years and has helped establish the chapters that are based in Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol.


As always, entry/attendance is free and open to all. We'll almost certainly move to the local pub (Sack of Potatoes) afterwards for food.
