Hi Paul,
Thanks for the advice. I got very lucky as it turns out. I managed to buy
two brand new RealTek 8139's from Syren in Kirkham for only =A35.86 each!=
!!
Very cheap...They are boxed and badged as NexNIC ND010's but they are
RealTEK 8139 chipsets so I was chuffed to bits and bought two of them
(thanks also to Steve for recommending RealTEKs)..
Now I am having modem problems as per earlier email, I hope I don't have =
to
buy another modem (sigh). I am hoping I am being very stupid and missing
something obvious (again) like I did when trying to install IPCop and hav=
ing
burned tons of CDR's I twigged that the CDROM drive was dodgy... C'est la
vie (lol)
