[Preston] Network Newbie need help with WiFi

Looks like it didn't compile properly.
make pci
make install_pci
modprobe hostap_pci
If you get it to build, but the module doesn't load, try building the plx
module:
make plx
make install_plx
modprobe hostap_plx
I have a Pheenet WL002, which is a fully packaged pci card, but requires the
plx driver.
