... or even go that extra mile and write to your MEP.

It's the least you can do, since Arlene McCarthy, the MEP centrally
responsible for putting forward the proposals, (see
http://swpat.ffii.org/players/amccarthy/index.en.html ) is one of the
10 who represent *you* (assuming you live in the NW if you subscribe to
this ...).

If the MEP elected by (in principle) your vote hears from you that you
are _really_ not happy with what she is doing, maybe that will focus
some thinking, what with euro elections due next year ... It may be
reasonable also to contact the MEP for the party you support (if not,
pick one at random) who has specialised in your part of the region. See

http://www.thisislancashire.co.uk/lancashire/info/mp.html

for details and some info about addresses etc.

If you would like to email, see
http://www.psr.keele.ac.uk/area/uk/meps.htm , although that only gives
you email addresses, whereas fax or (even better) real old-fashioned
post is thought more likely to actually be read (according to
faxyourmp.com).

Don't forget to make it clear that you are a local elector (random
emails to elected representatives you have no connection with only waste
your time and theirs), and that a reasoned argument is better than
twenty rants.

Cheers
Alan
