You could try

	modprobe uhci debug=1
	tail -n 20 /var/log/messages

the log may give more details of the error.

I suggest you take a look at:

	http://www.linux-usb.org/USB-guide/book1.html



If all else fails then it may be easier to reinstall RedHat and let it 
detect your new hardware.
