Hang on you got me thinking here. It must then then possible to chop the film 
file up and then store it on two or three CDRs.  I could then use a normal 
cd-burner to make VCDs

Ive just done a quick search and there does seem to be VCDtools and other 
software for makingVideo CD images (mkvcdfs) and then burning using cdrdao
