Thanks very much for the suggestion; I checked and it is already
disabled - phew! :-).

This is what has just happened...

The person who helped with the mail server set up tried to reach my web
site and he discovered that a router on my ISP's network appears to be
dropping some packets that are destined for me (and presumably other
customers).  I will have to contact them with the logs of the tests we
did and see what they say about it.

back to me,
