You'd be better off getting a lower spec CPU and more RAM.

We had a 100Mhz P1 with 128mb EDO ram and it was great on smoothwall and
IPCop. It struggled a bit with rendering the PHP for clarkconnect but hey.

Just a quick email to see if anyone has a cheap desktop for a
smoothwall installation.

The specs must be a minimum of P233 with 64mb with serial ports on
mobo (preferably Compaq but any make will do)

Price range about £10-20...
