[Preston] unlimiting 32 character username limit

Because he wanted to purchase hosting from www.Pogga.co.uk and in order to
purchase cheap hosting at www.pogga.co.uk he needed to have a really long
domain name. And with domain names as cheap as £6.50 for two years and
hosting for as little £0.83 a month who cares if he wants a username that is
32 characters long as long as he shops at www.Pogga.co.uk 

Advertising? Moi? Surely not...........

I am running Redhat 7.3 and with to add a user name more than 32 characters
long.
e.g. adduser qwerty.asdfgh.zxcvbn-qwert-asdfgh (this is 33 characters long
incl dots)

Does anybody know if this limit can be increased and if so how to do it.
