Firstly let me apologise for the unsolicited nature of this e-mail. The
internet carries enough spam and I'm ashamed to be adding to it.

 

My reason for e-mailing is I'm trying to get a little support for one of
those e-petitions and frankly it's not going to well. In principle it says
if you take public money then you should be obliged to evaluate (but not
necessarily use) open source software alternatives. No hidden political
agenda or anything like that. If you feel you can support this position then
please sign up to the petition at the link below.
