Project Update #27: Major News and our Final Kickstarter Update

Posted by Jumpshot Like

We are delighted to announce that Jumpshot has been acquired by AVAST
Software <http://www.avast.com/index>, creator of the world’s most
trusted antivirus, with a community of almost 200 million users.

With little more than our initial vision, we founded Jumpshot in 2010
and spent two years in stealth mode on research and development before
our public unveiling to you all on Kickstarter last year. Thanks to your
overwhelming support, we earned over 600% of our funding goal giving us
the momentum to release Jumpshot to the world in May of this year.

Joining AVAST is a huge milestone for us and we’re excited to hit the
ground running. Our plan moving forward is to expand Jumpshot’s user
base on a global scale and pursue many of our popularly requested
features, including our vision for an advanced console - a powerful
interface for our technical users. If you're curious, here is the
official announcement

In light of this news, and with the support of AVAST, we are pleased to
announce a free-for-life 1 PC Jumpshot subscription for all of our
Kickstarter backers. To take advantage of this offer, register here
<http://www.jumpshot.com/promo.html>. Our other subscription plans are
still available at a 15% discount for all backers.

We are extremely happy to be able to continue to build Jumpshot now with
a surge of resources under AVAST, who shares our vision. To end our last
update, we would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has
supported us along the way.

-Dave and Pedram

p.s. Some o’ ya salty sea dogs might o’ celebrated National Talk Like A
Pirate Day with us last Thursday, ya can be sure ol’ Kodiak was take’n
full advantage of this national holiday.
