Hi folks,

I realise this is in no way connected to Linux and OSS, but this is a
project that falls within the Ryedale area. So at the risk of abusing
the list:

Please vote for Howsham Mill on the BBC's Restoration Village. The mill
has reached the final which takes place tomorrow live at The Weald and
Downland Museum in Sussex.

Voting is open right now, so you can pick up your phone and dial 09013
600 507 to help with an important local project; it'll only cost a
pound.

The restoration will enable the mill to become an education centre to
promote renewable energy and will have both a traditional water-wheel and
a new type of turbine based on an Archimedes screw. This has been
chosen as it will be the first fish friendly water turbine in the UK.

For more details of the project look at:

Thanks for your time,

Al
