[Ryedale] IRC last night (15/01/07)

Hi folks,

Thought I'd let everyone know that last night we had a nice chat on
#ryedale.  It was our first proper IRC meet for 2007 and a variety of
subjects were covered.

Dave has some interesting work going on using GPS equipment to plot
things on his website of places he's taken photo's and journeys he's
made.

I've been using Gramps a lot recently and interest in that is quite
strong.

Paul is getting back to normal after his move and had some gpg questions
and we manage to get Fintan working with gpg again.  Dave told us that
Mail Marshal used at his work prevented him sending encrypted mail which
I've not heard of before.

We now have a large proportion of the group using gpg so I'd like us to
include keysigning at next weeks meeting.  I'll make another post here
with specific details of what's needed for this soon.
