What are you guys talking about?

The Linux and Microsoft OSes dont really have a consistent security
model at all outside the kernel itself. Every app is standalone,
practically.

The basic concept of the Windows kernel is *in theory* more secure than
linux too. Its a three ring system, linux only uses two. In *theory*
this means linux drivers are more likely to kill the kernel, and windows
ones cant.

In practise the windows kernel is so poorly written that its irrelevant.
The *core* of linux is superb, but some of the 'drivers' are a bit shit.

But, please, lets stop this talk of security models. its too vague a
term to be any use at all.
