_For_
  - Faster than VNC when used unencrypted (i.e. not tunnelled over SSH). 
With VNC, the entire screen/window has to be redrawn. With X, only text 
is sent. (Same way MS Terminal Services works).

_Against_
  - Doesn't save sessions when you disconnect. With VNC you can close 
the connection, open it again and everything is as you left it.
