I'm still subscribed to the w2knews newsletter, and one came in today asking 
for a survey of "linux in your domain".  Obviously, because this is sent on 
the w2knews channel, they are going to be getting the majority of their 
responses from well established "windows shops".

As an owner of a business that is run entirely on Linux and other OSS, I 
decided to respond to the survey.  My results were (truthfully) not very 
windows friendly (such as 50%+ saving in cost of deployment over windows).

The yankee group are not very OSS friendly but they do have a voice in the 
media so any of you guys who are in businesses running on or based around 
OSS, why not answer the survey and encourage others to do so.  Obviously the 
results will come back in favour of windows, but there is no harm in trying 
to feed more accurate information.

BTW, I am not suggesting that anyone submit false information to try and sway 
the results, only truthful answers.
