Hi,

I found your email on the LUG list as the contact, I didn't want to join
the LUG has I am not in your area, but I thought your members might like
to know about this.

Basically its about a project my partner and I have been working on called
Karoshi (www.karoshi.org.uk) its a replacement for the RM
system.

We are both in schools in Kent, Paul is at Swadelands in Lenham and I am
at Dover Grammar School for Boys, in well lol Dover!! We have the system
setup in both these schools as well as the Lenham Community centre, a
specialist school in Devon and a Primary school in Sussex.

Not sure about the others but, both my school and swadelands have
saved in the thousands even though we have just taken the first step and
are still using 2K clients.

We do need more people to try testing and tweaking it, and also
implementing it into their school. Also any ideas for what else is need
would also be great.

I am also in the slow process of designing my own SIMS called SIDS (School
Information Database System) using PHP, MySQL ans Apache,
which I will also need a few volunteers to help with :)

If anyone would like to see the system up and running, both DGSB and
Swadelands are available for viewing!!

Sorry if this comes across as spam!! Just trying to get Linux/FLOSS where
it can save a lot of money.

Jo
