Obvious typo in final paragraph :

"Microsoft technology has transformed business practices"

should read 

"Microsoft business practices have transformed technology."

At least the BBC report includes (amidst the hagiography),

"But Microsoft has been convicted of anti-competitive
behaviour in the the USA and is being investigated in
Europe."
