Thanks to Gav for Tuesday's meeting. I think we all learnt something useful.

Now another problem!

Is there anyone who has installed slackware that could possibly help me. I
am trying to install slackware 8.1 from a mag cover cd onto a low spec
machine that does not boot from cd. I have managed to create a boot disk but
can not for the life of me manage to create the 5 root disks that you need.
All searches on the net simply say download color.gz, which is the install
program. There is a readme on the disk that explains how to create an iso
for a bootable cd but this does not help.
