[SLUG] Network File Sharing

Hi all,

I have a windows machine and a linux machine that I want to share files
between. They are connected by a crossover cable.

Any ideas on what would be the best way to go about this? I have looked
at Samba but thought it might be a bit overkill for my simple needs.
