Hi

Could someone explain this one to me?

I'm trying to install Java J2EE. It says it requires Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 2.1, 3.0.

That's not Red Hat 9 is it.

When I look at the website, the cheapest RHEL licence I can see is
$2,500 .. falls off chair.

J2EE will also work with Windows XP. I have Windows XP.

After all this, am I really going to have to run my J2EE server under
Windows XP?

Should I just try the J2EE installation and see what happens? It can
only require shedloads of depencies, right?

On that machine, I'd be willing to load up a different distribution if
that helps, now I'm feeling my way.
