Been looking for a PVR and came accross this website
http://www.mythtv.org/

i like the idea of creating my own pvr as the computer is near the tv
so its a bit like sky+ without paying the extra £10 for the privaldge

and to hold mp3's etc so i can get rid of the hifi video recorder to 
free up some space in the living room

has any of you got one set up at home or seen it in action?
