You just knew I'd have to jump in with some Vim techniques for this,
didn't you!
Well, while I used the AltGr + ; + e = é for the subject line. I
usually use Vim's digraphs accessed while in INSERT mode with ^k and key
e' to get é. For those who know ASCII then you could also use ^v and
233 for the same é.
