[SLUG] Guide as website

Hi ppl

Given that some of us are web specialists, my mind is wondering how
far we'd get building 'Guide' as a website.

Obviously CSS would control the look of the page. We could do
send/receive email using PHP.

Could we (using JavaScript?) control a scanner and bring the results
into a page or frame? Will Dan's Java plugin read the contents?

Is there not a web-based editor. I mean, how much page formatting does
a blind person need?

Can anyone see the bits that can't be done?
