Yes it is thank you... modprobe being a cleverer version of insmod from
what I gather.
To clarify here is what I want to do:
a) Recompile the module's source with my modifications (I can do this bit).
b) Install my newly compiled source in such a way that:
c) I can load it as a module in place of whatever Fedora loaded for me.
I think I need to read some more about modprobe and modinfo ... as it's
a module I won't need to recompile my kernel but I don't know where
"modprobe" finds the modules from you see. This is obviously a vast area
and I know pitifully little about it.
